Once again the
Admiral Twin song "Good As Gold" has taken the top spot in
the Indie Pop category on the ourstage.com website. Many thanks go
out to anyone and everyone who voted for the song.
In other news, the band is currently in talks with members of the
Tulsa Symphony Orchestra about a side project involving the unison
of a string section with the band. Included in the music program,
would be a selection of Admiral Twin songs. We'll post more details
when they become available.

Last night the
band performed a show at Captain Ahab's in Jenks, OK.
Joining the band was former band mate Brad Becker. Brad sang many
songs, including A Box Under His Bed, Down, Another Day, Figi
Fandango, and many more. All in all, it was a fun-filled reunion of
the old quartet.

We regret to
announce that the planned concert at Drillers Stadium on July 4th
has been canceled for reasons unknown. The same lineup of bands may
reschedule a similar event on another date however. Stay tuned for
more details when they become available.

Last Sunday the
band performed outside the BOK Center just before the Fleetwood Mac
concert. A splendid time was had by all, despite the chilly air,
intermittent rain, and unpleasant wind. On July 4th the band will be
performing at Drillers Stadium with Brady Orchestra and Stars Go
Dim. Afterwards, there will be a spectacular fireworks display.
Don't miss this show! (for more concert info check out the Concerts page.)

The band has just
wrapped recording on several songs composed by Jim Edwards for the
soundtrack to the independent film, The Rock ’n’ Roll Dreams of
Duncan Christopher. The band is also finishing up a remake of
a 1970's TV theme, the details of which will be in a future update.
The song "Good As Gold" has currently been featured in a PBS
television program called Roadtrip Nation. The episode
containing the song will also be included on an upcoming DVD release
of the series.
It is with great sadness that we must acknowledge the passing of a dear friend and fellow singer/songwriter, Rusty Love. Rusty was an extremely gifted performer, who truly had a heart of gold. We first met Rusty about 10 years ago. She used to jump onstage with us every so often a sing a few songs. We had to turn her microphone down because she could belt out those notes like no other. A few years later, she was kind enough to lend her voice to a couple of tracks on our "Creatures of Bread & Wine" album. She also helped us secure some bookings, and she used to put on an annual event (that we also performed at) to raise awareness for breast cancer. Rusty had been battling cancer herself, off and on over the years. She finally succumbed to it on March 23, 2009. We love you Rusty.
